Denijal Hasanovic was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina where he started his directing studies. Because of the war, he left the country and settled down in Poland, where he continued his studies at the Polish National Film School in Lotz and graduated film directing. His graduation film List was premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. He co-wrote films BLOODBOND (THICKER THAN WATER) which screened at the 31st Toronto International Film Festival and MILCHWALD at the 53rd Berlinale.
