After graduating with an MBA from the University of Southampton in 2001 and a Masters in Audiovisual Management (EMAM) from Rome in 2002, Yorgos Tsourgiannis began producing films and numerous TV commercials in various capacities, both independently and with other production companies. In 2008, in collaboration with Boo Productions, he produced Yorgos Lanthimos' DOGTOOTH (Trailer) which was the winner of many prizes, including the Grand Prix of Cannes' Un Certain Regard in 2009, and was nominated for an Academy Award for best foreign language film in 2011. In 2003, Yorgos founded the Athens-based Horsefly Productions, whose latest includes the Greek-German co-production LUTON by Michalis Konstantatos, which premiered in San Sebastian IFF in 2013, ; Efthimis Kosemund Sanidis' short fiction II, premiered in Locarno in 2014, and the debut feature by Yannis Veslemes - NORWAY, which prmiered in Karlovy Vary IFF in July 2014.
