Biography

Nadir Öperli was born in Izmir in 1979. He graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Boğaziçi University in 2002. After completing his master’s degree in the Program of Critical and Cultural Studies at his alma mater, he continued his doctoral degree in the Radio, TV and Cinema Department at Istanbul University. In 2001, he became a board member of Altıyazı Monthly Cinema Magazine. In addition, Öperli acted in several short films. In 2006, he founded the Bulut Film with Yamaç Okur, and produced Seyfi Teoman’s film “Tatil Kitabı”, which was selected in the Forum Section of the 58th Berlin Film Festival. Currently, he works as a general director at the Altıyazı magazine, and serves as an editor of the internet site, “sinema.com.” He has also worked in various short films, documentaries, art and cultural projects within the Bulut Film.
