Biography

Ivana Juric was born in Osijek in 1982. She has graduated in animation and new media from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. During her studies, she was awarded for her overall student work. She has directed short animated film “I”, for which she was awarded the ESSL Award CEE in 2009. Her short animated film “The Room” has been highly successful. It has been shown at a number of animated film festivals, the most prominent one being within the New Directors / New Films program in New York in 2012. The film has received the Croatian Animated Film Festival Grand Prix award. It has also been shown on the prestigious ARTE television as a part of a program presenting just twelve films from annual European production. The latest animated short film "Pupa" in 2014 began its festival live. Ivana exhibits her art work in group and solo exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. She is a member of the Croatian Association of Artists. She lives and works in Zagreb.
