Sonja Prosenc was born in 1977 in Slovenia, has a diploma in journalism and cultural studies. She began working in the field of visual production during her years at the university: film and graphic design. She attended Berlinale and Sarajevo Talent Campuses, cofounded the Mono O production house, and was selected to participate in the Torino- FilmLab. After her award-winning short Morning, broadcast in 31 countries after its festival run, and a documentary Man with a Raven, she made her first feature film The Tree. It was developed in cooperation with EAVE and Baltic Event Tallinn.
