Nergis Öztürk was born in Kocaeli in 1980. She graduated from the Theater Department in the Faculty of Language, History, and Geography at Ankara University. She made her film debut with the film "Hacivat Karagöz Nasıl Öldürüldü?" Since then, she has acted in many films and TV series. In 2009 she received the Best Actress Awards for her role in the film "Kıskanmak" in the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival and Adana Golden Ball Film Festival. Öztürk has also performed in theater plays. She received the Best Actress in a Comedy Series with Didem Balçın in the 10th Lions Theater Awards.
