Razvan Georgescu was born in 1965 in Targu Mures, Romania. He is a director, screenwriter and producer. In 1989, after studying philology in Bucharest, he moved to Germany where he worked as a broadcast director. Starting with 1996 he makes reports and documentaries on cultural issues for ARTE. In 1998 he becomes Creative Director and Head of Development for WESTEND Film & TV Frankfurt. As a director he coordinates the weekly cultural programme METROPOLIS (ARTE/ZDF). On behalf of the Department of Culture from Germany he coordinates workshops of cultural journalism with directors and authors for the national public television in the Republic of Moldavia. He graduates Discovery Campus Masterschool with a project together with director Florin Iepan called Children Of The Decree. In 2007 he is the author and producer of the documentary film Testimonial.
