Dimitar Petkov was born on January 6, 1958 in Sofia, Bulgaria. raduated in Film and TV Directing from NATFIZ, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1982. He has worked as a film director at Boyana Film (1982 - 1991). He is also director of documentaries. In 1991 he founded and currently runs Parallax Ltd. Production company.
