Goran grew up in Serbia where he received his BA in film directing, and then gained experi- ence working on major national and foreign productions. He recently received his Masters Degree from the Directing Program at the American Film Institute and his thesis film Way in Rye was nominated for the Student Academy Award for Best Narrative Short. His two undergraduate films, Who Guards the Guard- ians and Old Mountain, were selected for over 50 international festivals and have won 17 awards. His first feature-length documentary In the Dark had its world premiere at the presti- gious IDFA 2014 festival in Amsterdam.
