Graduated Film Directing at University of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. Directed a number of short live-action and documentary films. After completing the cult novel The Spirit of Balkania (co-written with Velimir Abramović) continued his career in Los Angeles as a partner in Ideate Films working as a writer, producer, director on a number of brand films and commercials for companies like Mattel, Bacardi, Werner... Using the screen name D. Jud Jones, Penezić wrote, co-produced and co-directed the animated feature Film Noir (2007).
