Thodoros Maragos was born in 1944 in Filiatra in the southwestern Peloponnese, Greece. He started out as an animator and has worked in all cinematic genres. He has won a number of awards as director, scriptwriter, director of photography and animator. His films,which havewon numerous awards and have been box-office hits, combine artistic and commercial quality.
