Anja Novkovic is a Croatian-born, Vancouver-raised writer and researcher living in Montreal. The primary themes in her writing, from spoken word to magazine articles, include: public space, the city, the power of story, and the divine feminine. Her writing style is conversational, rhythmic, and open-hearted. She is currently working on ‘The Storied City’, a project in which she is uncovering the hidden personal stories that exist in urban public spaces. She is an affiliate community researcher at The Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling.
