Emre Kinay was born on March 5, 1970 in Istanbul, Turkey. He is an actor, known for Iki aile (2006), Günesi Beklerken (2013), Insaat (2003) and I Saw the Sun (2009). He studied at the Theater Department of Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory in 1990-1995. In 1992 he started working as an actor at the Bakırköy Municipality Theatre. Kinay has also performed in many plays of famous theatres such as the Dostlar Theatre. He has directed many plays of the Duru Theatre, which he founded in 2005. Since 1997, Kıiay has acted in many films and TV series. He has received several awards including the "Best Actor Award" in the 23rd Istanbul Film Festival (2004) and the "Most Successful Actor of the Year" in the Afife Theater Awards (2006).
