Darkness is a tragic love tale inspired by the short story Aska and the Wolf by the Nobel prize- winning author Ivo Andrić. Vuk (24) is steeped in dirty work of human tracking. He cruelly and mercilessly drags Aska (19) into his elaborate web of sex trade. But Aska's beauty and her dancing succeed in awakening something in Vuk: it could be humanity, it could be love or it could be a dream of a better life. Vuk is changed wholly and completely by this experience. Aska finds Vuk's ad for a well-paying job in a cafe on the coast of Montenegro. But, instead of employing her at the cafe, he takes her to a motel, which is a front for prostitution and sex tracking.
