The unique and virtually unknown to us training of children with impaired vision is the cornerstone in their attempt to become members of a society structured mainly around vision. A twelve year-old boy, Manolis, along with his friends, all of them kids that are blind from birth, sweep us into their own world where all the other senses become, of necessity, more acute. In the course of the journey they show us how they conceive and appreciate the little details of an outside world they have never seen, the ways in which they overcome the obstacles it sets in their path and how they finally get to know this world by having all their senses on full alert.
