Synopsis:

Myrto Paraschi is a modern woman who lives in Athens. ΤweΙνe years ago she began her long personal journey through the deserts where Christian asceticism was born. This personal journey which follows the footsteps of the first anchorites at a time when the ancient world was slowly dying and Christianity was becoming established, is portrayed in the documentary ΤΗΕ REVOLUTION OF S1LENCE. The journey takes us through the deserts of Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Syria and Turkey following the ways of the early ascetics, the cells, the monasteries and their communal life. These men purged by their love of God nοw seek Him in silence. A woman's bewilderment in the face of this absolute faith. The ability to place one's fate totally and unreservedly in the hands of God and to exceed the measure of human life.
