Synopsis:

A young man from Komotini falls in love with a Muslim girl Aishe. He met her in a Thessaloniki hospital where he had gone to visit a friend of his. He didn't know that the girl he met and immediately fell in love with was a Muslim from Komotini and that her father was a wealthy and fanatic Muslim. When he finds out he decides to live with her. The two young people think of leaving Komotini and going to live in Thessaloniki or Athens. They have decided that they will each keep their religion. When their love affair becomes known Alexandros' father and the Bishop pressure him to convert Aishe to Christianity. The Turkish Consul in Komotini and Aishe's father and brothers pressure her, threaten her and coerce her into making him a Muslim.
