He was born in Athens in 1964. He received his MFA in film direction from Columbia University and was a "guest" at the Actors Studio (1997). His publications include books on Wim Wenders and Robert Altman. He has directed numerous short films and commercials. He wrote the screenplay for Nikos Panayotopoulos’ Beautiful People.
