Synopsis:

It is New Year’s Eve and Anna is setting the festive table. She doesn’t feel like celebrating since she was recently widowed but she feels she has an obligation to her daughters and granddaughters. Her daughter Alexandra, however, also comes out of a sense of obligation as well as her granddaughters. They all try to put on a happy face. They can’t do otherwise. New Year’s at Mom’s is a mandatory and joyful celebration.
