Films from the Balkans selected in Berlinale sections

Several films from Balkan countries have been selected for various sections of the 69th Berlin International Film Festival (7 to 17 February 2019).

Competition:

"God Exists, Her Name is Petrunija" by Teona Strugar Mitevska (Macedonia, Belgium, Slovenia, Croatia, France)

"I Was at Home, but" by Angela Schanelec (Germany, Serbia)

Panorama:

"Stitches" by Miroslav Terzic (Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Forum:

"Monsters." by Marius Olteanu (Romania)

"From Tomorrow on, I Will" by Ivan Markovic, Wu Linfeng   (Germany, People’s Republic of China, Serbia) 

"The Stone Speakers" by Igor Drljača (Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Forum Expanded:

"Can’t You See Them? – Repeat." by Clarissa Thieme (Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Berlinale Shorts:

"Can’t You See Them? – Repeat." by Clarissa Thieme (Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina)

"Red Rubber Boots" by Jasmila Zbanic (Bosnia and Herzegovina) out of competition

Generation:

Generation 14plus: "The Magic Life of V" by Tonislav Hristov (Finland, Denmark, Bulgaria)
